Courtyard by Marriott Shin-Osaka Review: 1 Minute from the Station

2026年3月24日

Entrance of Courtyard by Marriott Shin-Osaka Station

During our trip to Osaka,

we stayed at

Courtyard by Marriott Shin-Osaka Station.

We chose this hotel mainly because of its convenient location for traveling by Shinkansen.

And after staying here,

our conclusion was simple:

it is an extremely convenient and comfortable hotel for travelers using Shin-Osaka Station.

Being so close to the station

made traveling much easier,

especially when carrying luggage.

For travelers in their 60s and beyond,

reducing the amount of walking between trains and the hotel

can make a big difference.

Here is our detailed review

of the room,

bathroom,

breakfast buffet,

and access.

Just 1 Minute from Shin-Osaka Station

Lobby at Courtyard by Marriott Shin-Osaka Station

Courtyard by Marriott Shin-Osaka Station

is located approximately

one minute on foot from JR Shin-Osaka Station.

After getting off the Shinkansen,

you can reach the hotel almost immediately.

That is especially convenient

when you have large suitcases,

when it is raining,

or when you are simply tired after a long journey.

For travelers in their 60s and beyond,

staying close to the station can make the trip much easier.

During our stay,

we also noticed many international guests.

A Comfortable Marriott Hotel in Shin-Osaka

Courtyard by Marriott is part of the Marriott hotel group.

The brand is not positioned as ultra-luxury,

but it offers

comfortable rooms,

reliable service,

and a polished atmosphere.

That makes this hotel easy to use

for first-time visitors to Osaka,

business travelers,

and tourists who prioritize convenience.

Our High-Floor Twin Room

Twin guest room at Courtyard by Marriott Shin-Osaka Station

We booked a

twin room on a higher floor.

The room had a calm,

simple design

with very little visual clutter.

The orange chair added a nice accent to the room.

Our first impression was that

everything felt clean and well maintained.

Comfortable Beds for a Good Night’s Sleep

Twin beds at Courtyard by Marriott Shin-Osaka Station

The mattresses felt supportive

with a comfortable amount of softness.

They were not so soft that we sank deeply into them,

which made sleeping comfortable after a day of travel.

For us,

a good bed is especially important

when we have another full sightseeing day ahead.

Clean Bathroom with a Bathtub

Bathroom sink at Courtyard by Marriott Shin-Osaka Station

The bathroom was clean

and had a large mirror.

The toilet included a washlet.

Amenities included items such as

a toothbrush,

hair tie,

and body lotion,

although the selection felt fairly simple.

Bathtub and shower at Courtyard by Marriott Shin-Osaka Station

The room had a bathtub,

although the shower and tub were combined rather than separated.

The water pressure was fine during our stay.

Shampoo and body wash were provided,

and even with long hair,

I did not feel that the shampoo left my hair particularly rough.

The hair dryer was not especially powerful,

so travelers with long hair

may prefer to bring their own

if they want to dry their hair more quickly.

One thing to watch for:

there was a small step near the bathroom doorway.

Be careful not to trip over it.

View from the Room

Because we booked a higher-floor room,

we expected a wide city view.

However,

our room mostly faced nearby buildings.

Some rooms on the executive floors

may offer broader views of Osaka,

so travelers who prioritize scenery

may want to check the room category carefully when booking.

If the view is not important to you,

and a high-floor room costs more,

a lower-floor room may be sufficient.

Birthday Surprise with a Message Card

During our stay,

the hotel prepared

a birthday message card.

It was a thoughtful surprise

and made the stay feel more personal.

There were also some Osaka sweets waiting for us.

They had a firm,

cookie-like texture

and were very tasty.

Breakfast Buffet|A Wide Selection of Japanese and Western Food

Breakfast buffet restaurant at Courtyard by Marriott Shin-Osaka Station

For breakfast,

we chose the hotel buffet.

At the time of our stay,

both buffet and à la carte breakfast options were available.

The breakfast buffet price was

¥4,300 per adult including tax

during our visit.

Because we had Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite status,

we received a discount

and paid

¥3,920 per person.

Membership benefits and breakfast prices can change,

so check the latest conditions when booking.

The buffet included

Japanese dishes,

Western dishes,

fruit,

bread,

and many other options.

There was enough variety

for different tastes and age groups.

We also found it useful to eat a substantial breakfast

before going sightseeing.

Our trip took place during a busy three-day holiday weekend in March,

when restaurants around popular attractions were crowded.

Having breakfast at the hotel

made the rest of the day easier.

Plenty of Bread and Cereal

The bread selection was especially good.

There were so many choices

that it was difficult to decide what to try.

Everything we selected was delicious.

Cereal selection at Courtyard by Marriott Shin-Osaka breakfast buffet

There was also a large cereal selection,

including organic cornflakes.

Salads and Warm Vegetables

Fresh salads were available,

as well as

warm vegetables and mushrooms.

Cheese selection at Courtyard by Marriott Shin-Osaka breakfast buffet

There were four kinds of cheese.

We were also happy to find

smoked salmon

and prosciutto.

Japanese Breakfast Options

The Japanese breakfast selection was also extensive.

For travelers who prefer Japanese food in the morning,

there were plenty of choices.

Udon noodles were also available.

Japanese curry at Courtyard by Marriott Shin-Osaka breakfast buffet

There was also Japanese curry.

Kushikatsu at Courtyard by Marriott Shin-Osaka breakfast buffet

And we even found

kushikatsu,

one of Osaka’s famous foods.

It is always fun

when a hotel breakfast includes something connected with the local destination.

The kushikatsu was tender

and tasted good.

Cooked-to-Order Egg Dishes

Made-to-order omelet at Courtyard by Marriott Shin-Osaka breakfast buffet

Egg dishes such as

omelets

and Eggs Benedict

could be ordered from the table during our visit.

We chose our preferred ingredients

and had an omelet prepared for us.

On weekends,

public holidays,

or other busy mornings,

made-to-order dishes may take longer,

so it is a good idea to order early.

Daily Smoothie

We also enjoyed the daily smoothie.

It was one of our favorite drinks at breakfast.

A Good Breakfast Before a Full Day of Osaka Sightseeing

Breakfast at Courtyard by Marriott Shin-Osaka Station

The breakfast at Courtyard by Marriott Shin-Osaka Station

had plenty of variety

and was very satisfying.

For travelers who want to eat well in the morning

and then focus on sightseeing during the day,

the buffet can be a convenient option.

During weekends and peak travel seasons,

restaurants around major tourist areas can become crowded.

Eating breakfast at the hotel

can save time later in the day.

How to Get to Courtyard by Marriott Shin-Osaka Station

The hotel is approximately

one minute on foot from JR Shin-Osaka Station.

This location is especially useful

for travelers using the Shinkansen

and also works well as a base for exploring Osaka.

Is Courtyard by Marriott Shin-Osaka Worth Staying At?

For us,

the biggest advantage of this hotel was simple:

the location makes traveling extremely easy.

We would especially consider it for travelers who:

  • Plan to use the Shinkansen
  • Want to minimize walking with luggage
  • Prefer a clean and comfortable international hotel
  • Want a substantial hotel breakfast before sightseeing
  • Are looking for an easy-to-access Osaka base

For travelers in their 60s and beyond,

being so close to Shin-Osaka Station

can help reduce the physical burden of moving between cities.

If convenience matters more than staying in the middle of Osaka’s nightlife districts,

Courtyard by Marriott Shin-Osaka Station is a very practical choice.
